Walkthrough

Chapter 6: Moon Mountain

Climb through wind and eye-focus encounters to the Burn or Stop choice. Four collectibles remain. Closing your eyes alone is not the full Grinner solution: focus on the blue eye in the cave. Ending spoilers follow.

Source-based research, not a hands-on playtest. The published route describes wind cover, eye focus and returning to the final autosave; no personal ending choice is claimed.

Beats

  1. At the opening Soothsayers stop, check the hatch on the left for the Grinner figurine. Continue along the road for Shellphone 24.
  2. Use closed-eye focus at the marked encounters. In the cave with two Grinners, focus the blue eye to clear the route; simply shutting your eyes is incomplete advice.
  3. During the climb, wait behind cover for the wind to ease, then move to the next shelter. Relight Potboy with matches as needed. After the strong-wind section, Shellphone 25 is beside the fish head in the cave.
  4. At the summit, check the left hatch for the final Potboy figurine. The chapter has 2 figurines and 2 Shellphones, with no discs or story pages.
  5. Send Potboy to the central light and choose Burn or Stop. After the credits, select Continue from the main menu to revisit the final autosave and choose the other option.

Collection route and exit check

Only four pickups remain in this chapter: F18 The Grinner, S24, S25 and F19 Potboy, with no discs or reels. Open the hatch left of the opening Soothsayers, take S24 on the main path, and check the cave after the wind section for S25 beside the fish head. At the summit, open the left hatch before choosing Burn or Stop. Our F18/F19 IDs correct the source's repeated figurine #17 rather than omitting either pickup. These finish Mad God and Who's There? only if the earlier chapters are complete. The monster and puzzle links cover the two-Grinner cave's blue-eye focus; the endings and trophy links explain Burn Out/Fade Away and Continue. Chapter 5 is the previous route; after this final chapter, return to the index or use chapter select for cleanup rather than looking for a seventh chapter.

Burn restores the sun and unlocks Burn Out; Stop keeps the Midnight Walk going and unlocks Fade Away. For the outcome comparison and its interpretation, use the endings page. No extra collectible condition is documented for selecting either ending.

Questions

Which ending should I pick?

No developer-designated canon ending was found in the cited sources. Burn unlocks Burn Out; Stop unlocks Fade Away. Continue after the credits to revisit the choice.

How do Grinners work here?

In the two-Grinner cave, close your eyes and focus the blue eye. Earlier encounters also allow a Matchlock shot to an exposed face for a stun.

How many collectibles are left?

Four: two figurines and two Shellphones.
