Where you can play it
Fast Travel Games published The Midnight Walk on 8 May 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Windows. Nintendo Switch 2 followed on 26 March 2026. There is no Xbox, PS4, Switch 1, Mac, phone or standalone Quest build. A Quest headset only works if you stream the PC version.

What the game actually is
You play the Burnt One, a figure who wakes without eyes or ears, and you escort Potboy — a small lantern creature — toward Moon Mountain. There is no combat system. Light, hiding, pressure plates and closing your eyes do the work. MoonHood scanned more than 700 real clay models and animated them in Unreal Engine 5 so the world looks like stop-motion without being shot frame by frame.
Store copy says five tales. The chapter select has six cards: The Burnt One, The Loathsome Molgrim, Coalhaven, The Craftsman's Heart, The Dark, and Moon Mountain. No official source maps which card is the extra one, so this site does not invent that mapping.

No. Flat mode is the default on PS5, PC and Switch 2. PSVR2 and PCVR are optional.
How long is The Midnight Walk?
IGN describes a roughly seven- to eight-hour journey. That is a published review estimate, not a playtime measurement by this site.
Is there a free demo or browser version?
No demo was listed on Steam, PlayStation Store or Nintendo eShop on 23 October 2026, and there is no official browser build.
