Source-based research, not a hands-on boss test. This page translates boss-search intent into the documented encounter objectives; no damage values, weak points or invented phases are supplied.
How to get past the major encounters
- The Molgrim, Nobodyville: recover Potboy through the stealth sequence, then finish the three-shard cauldron objective. Progress comes from repairing and lighting the cauldron, not reducing the Molgrim's health.
- Grinners, the Craftsman's Heart: use environmental cover and the room's candles or eye sequence. A Matchlock shot to an exposed face can stun one; that optional action earns Face Your Fears, not a boss-kill reward.
- Moon Mountain: use wind cover and closed-eye focus where prompted. The final decision is Burn or Stop, awarding different ending trophies. It is not a final-boss phase sequence.
Moonbird scenes are story encounters. Follow the chapter's route rather than searching for an attack opening. The creature list separates hostile threats from friendly characters so that a boss keyword does not turn every large model into an enemy.
Questions
How many bosses are in The Midnight Walk?
The guides used here document encounter objectives, not a numbered combat-boss roster. The earlier claim that there were exactly three player-defined bosses was unsupported and has been removed.
How do I beat the Molgrim?
You don’t beat it in a fight. Stay in cover and recover Potboy.
Does the Dark have phases?
No published phase list exists. The end is the Burn or Stop choice.
