Black screen
Close the game, temporarily remove third-party modifications, and use the store’s file-verification function. Retest in flatscreen to separate a game launch failure from a headset/runtime issue. Check GPU drivers and the headset software. Record the build and the point of failure before contacting publisher support. Do not delete intro movies or replace DLLs on the strength of an unverified fix; PCGamingWiki could not be directly re-read during this audit because of HTTP 403.
Controller not working
- Steam lists full controller support for flatscreen. Connect the controller before launching and check whether Steam detects it. A wired connection can isolate a Bluetooth issue; this is a diagnostic step, not a verified game-specific cure.
- For VR, check the compatible headset/controller setup. Flatscreen gamepad support does not establish VR gamepad support. No controller configuration was tested by this site.
HDR support
No official in-game HDR toggle or enabling procedure was verified in the sources checked. Windows Auto HDR, a display’s HDR mode and native game HDR are different features. This page does not promise that an operating-system setting or an ini edit adds native HDR.
DLSS and performance
The studio’s 3 June 2025 notes explicitly fix DLSS activation and improve performance with Shadow Quality set to low. They do not publish a performance uplift or universal fix for frame generation. Use the current store build and supported GPU drivers; if DLSS is unavailable, use an option actually offered by your build and report the problem. A third-party upscaler is not an official fix. The 13 June hotfix restores fog and atmospheric volumes disabled at low settings; it is later than the DLSS update.
Back up saves and restore original game files before asking support to reproduce a problem. Keep a record of any mods or configuration changes. No workaround on this page is a security or compatibility guarantee.
Questions
Why does my controller do nothing?
Check flatscreen versus VR mode first, then whether the store client or headset software detects the correct controller. Full flatscreen controller support is not a guarantee for every VR input setup. Contact support with the controller model and build if detection still fails.
How do I turn HDR on?
No official in-game HDR procedure was verified. Do not confuse Windows/display HDR with native HDR support in the game; ask publisher support about your platform and build.
DLSS is greyed out. Now what?
Update the game and GPU driver, remove third-party upscaler modifications, and retry on supported hardware. The 3 June 2025 notes fixed an activation bug, not every possible DLSS problem. Use a setting actually available in your build and report unresolved issues to [email protected].
